Hi! I am Ryan Lavine. I am a super-proud and happy husband and father to two of the world's most wonderful girls!

I grew up in Sedro-Woolley, Washingtonand though I was not such a great academic student, I graduated with vocal honors from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1999. I began working as a paraprofessional for Sedro-Woolley Schools three months later, following that with experience in four additional school districts over the next eight years. I attended Skagit Valley College and obtained my AAUCT degree with plans to complete a teaching degree at EWU. In between I lived in Argentina during all of 2005, where I gained a wealth of experience living in a different country. I lived in both Trelew, Chubut and Cordoba, Cordoba, Argentina.

My wife, Paula, is Uruguayan, but has lived in Argentina from age 3 to 25. We met online before meeting online was cool (2001). We were married in the Buenos Aires Templeof the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) on September 22, 2005. We moved to the States on December 31st, 2006 and moved to Cheney, Washington in July of the following year.

We welcomed Clara Amancay Lavine to our family on November 1, 2006. Unexpected, but a true and great blessing!

Paula has graduated from EWU with an Undergraduate Degree in Spanish Language and Literature with plans to pursue a Graduate Degree at WSU. I graduate with an Undergraduate degree from EWU in June of 2009 and plan to begin Graduate studies in Special Education program.

I am currently doing my field work with Mr. Jim Cattin at Medical Lake Middle School in Medical Lake, WA.
